  • How do I apply to become a Blue Water lifeguard?

  • How do I get certified to become a lifeguard?
    Attend a Red Cross lifeguard certification course hosted by Blue Water Recreational Services. We will send you our training course via email after we receive your application. To access the application, click here.
  • Are their prerequisites to attending a lifeguard certification course?
    Yes! You must be at least 15 years old by the last day of your certification course and be able to swim and to complete a swim intensive prerequest assessment of your swimming abilities.
  • Why should I become a Blue Water lifeguard?
    Join the Blue Water team if you are interested in becoming Red Cross certified, building your resume, making connections with coworkers and community members, participating in referral programs, getting active and working outdoors, attending lifeguard events, saving money, building job history, and so much more!
  • What is your starting pay?
    Our starting pay depends on your lifeguard experience. Apply and inquire to determine your starting pay rate.
  • I completed the application. What is my next step?
    1. Check your email. The Blue Water human resources department will be contacting you in regards to your application. In this email, you will receive a calendar of certification courses. 2. Attend and pass your certification course. 3. Complete your hiring paper work. 4. Attend orientation and choose your uniform package.
  • Do you provide payment plans for training classes?
    Typically, payment plans are not provided and payment is required prior to the first day of your certification course. However, we want to work with you! If you are in need of a payment plan due to special circumstances, please e-mail info@bwrecservices.com or discuss the matter with your interviewer at your hiring fair as payroll deduct may be the best option for you. Blue Water must have a credit card on file for your certification course. We will not charge the card so long as you complete payment through payroll deduct while employed by Blue Water Recreational Services.
